Deepavali Mela 2011

We wish all our Indian friends a very Happy and Prosperous Deepavali

City of Melville and Department of Multicultural Affairs  sponsored event Deepavali – Festival of Lights celebrations are just 2 weeks away.

This multicultural event is organised by Forum of South Indian Associations

Malayalam (MAWA), Kannada (WAKS), Telugu (WATA), Tamil (TAWA)

Major Banks, Builders, Curtin University, Real Estate Agents and many Small Businesses are supporting this Mega Event

Entrée is free and this is an alcohol free event

Where: 90 South St, Bush Court, Murdoch University

When: November 6th Sunday, 2011

Timing: 11.00 am – 3.00 pm

 

This is going to be one of the biggest Multicultural events continuing the spirit of CHOGM.

Multicultural dances and events focussing Indian Culture are running right through the event.  Preparations are in full swing by our budding talent with the support of expert chorographer.

Food stalls from all parts of India, with specific focus on South Indian food and soft drinks including lassi is available at very reasonable cost. Mums and Dads food stalls are also available to relish home made food and delicious sweets.

Non food and grocery stalls selling exotic items are also available for sale.

Non commercial stalls like Red Cross, St Johns Ambulance, Australian Scholarship Group are available supporting community.

To keep kids excited Kids rides, face panting is available.  Plenty of parking and seating is available.

Arrangements are made for surprise gifts in some of the stalls.

Be ready for excitement filled Deepavali Event and we hope to see you all and your friends on November 6th Sunday
