The people of South India share common geography and several aspects of culture and history. People of South Indian origin have formed their own individual Associations in Australia to look after the well being of their members. People of South Indian origin have been valuable contributors to the Australian economy and the society. The purpose of the “Forum of the South Indian Association of Australia” is to bring in the historical connectivity of these people and use that bond to enhance the net-worth of the people of South Indian origin who have made Australia their home.
The Forum of South Indian Associations are:
- Western Australia Kannada Sangha – WAKS (Inc)
- Malayalam Association of Western Australia – MAWA (Inc)
- Tamil Association of Western Australia – TAWA (Inc)
- Western Australia Telugu Association – WATA (Inc)
